Three days ago, Türkiye Gazetesi reported that Beşiktaş’ Semih Kılıçsoy is of interest to Tottenham Hotspur. It was also reported he’s ready to change clubs in the summer and is already taking English lessons.
The 18-year-old has nine goals and an assist from 22 games this season, out of which seven goals and an assist are from this calendar year.
No player under the age of 23 in the top five European leagues and the Süper Lig has scored more goals than Kılıçsoy in 2024.
That’s according to Habertürk, who state the forward is ‘at the top of Europe’ and this has seen him draw the attention of Tottenham and others.
It’s claimed the Turkey U19 international is followed by several European clubs, ‘especially Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham’. This has pleased the Black Eagles, who are aiming for a record fee from his sale.
Habertürk make no mention of the fee needed to convince the Istanbul club, but insist the youngster’s asking price will rise if he were to continue his good run until the end of the season.
Beşiktaş board member Feyyaz Uçar has already stated that it will be difficult to hold on to Kılıçsoy despite him recently signing a new deal until 2028.
For now, Spurs are following the player closely, and it remains to be seen whether they’ll take further steps to sign him.
