Queens Park Rangers have identified Stade Brestois’ Karamoko Dembélé as a target for this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The Ligue 1 side took the 21-year-old on a free transfer in 2022 and sent him out on loan to Blackpool last season, where he managed nine goals and 14 assists from 47 games in all competitions.
Dembélé has returned to Stade Brestois and his performances for the League One side has certainly pleased QPR.
He has a deal lasting until 2026, but his immediate future, as per the report, is most likely to be at the Championship side. The attacking midfielder has been expected to return to England in this window and QPR have been pushed forward as the main contender.
It’s claimed the former Celtic man has committed to Martí Cifuentes’ side in the ‘last few hours’, and they’ll offer €2m including bonuses to the French club to acquire his signature.
The report states the player’s time at Stade Brestois is ‘definitely over’ and he will leave them for QPR. L’Equipe make no mention of the deal Dembélé will sign at the London club, but they are set to complete his signing soon.
