Spanish side Espanyol are waiting on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the transfer market, with the two linked in deals for Joan García and Luca Koleosho.
That’s according to La Grada, who cover the situation today and how Espanyol’s transfer market is waiting on Wolves to make their moves.
They explain how Wolves have struggled to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal, which in turn has left the Gunners waiting to sign Garcia.
Arsenal’s high asking price is currently preventing a deal for Ramsdale taking place, leaving him at the Emirates. That means the Gunners don’t need a replacement, which would be Garcia.
There is still a chance that the situation could change last minute, though, and Espanyol would need to find a new goalkeeper late in the window. It depends entirely on Arsenal accepting a bid for Ramsdale, though.
Then there’s their interest in the situation around Koleosho. Wolves are currently chasing his signature and have already seen a €25m bid rejected for him.
The belief is that situation could change after the two sides clash on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup. If that deal goes through at whatever price, Espanyol are set to receive ‘a substantial percentage’ for their former player.
Some reports have put that as high as 20%, meaning the Spanish side could be set for a major income before the end of the window.
They’re keeping a close eye on matters at Molineux as a result, with Wolves’ late transfer work set to potentially impact them in more than one way.
