On Thursday, Foot Mercato reported Everton have made an offer to sign Marseille’s Iliman Ndiaye. It was also stated the Premier League side are ‘completely crazy’ about him.

The Toffees are keen on signing the 24-year-old and L’Equipe brings the latest on their pursuit.

It’s claimed Everton are ‘exerting constant pressure’ to bring the former Sheffield United man back to England in the summer window.

The Ligue 1 side invested close to €20m to buy Ndiaye from the Blades last summer.

He spent four years at Sheffield United, and the Merseyside club even looked at him before he joined Marseille. They made an attempt to sign him in the winter market, but both the player and his entourage decided to stick rather than twist.

Everton are back in the picture for the Senegal international, and their latest approaches ‘have shaken’ the French club.

The report adds Marseille are looking to raise funds, and therefore, the attacker’s camp no longer seems to close the door on returning to England this summer.

If Ndiaye were to leave, L’Equipe state Marseille would like to recover the €20m fee they paid to buy him.

Foot Mercato said yesterday that Everton have made a bid, but L’Equipe don’t mention an offer in their latest report.
