Palmeiras are working to try and bring Gabriel Jesus to the club ahead of the Club World Cup next summer.

That’s according to Bolavip, who say that fans at the club are dreaming of his return and there is every chance that could come true.

They explain that Palmeiras have long been dreaming of bringing Jesus back to the club after he broke through as a youngster and scored 29 goals in 83 games for them before his €32m move to Manchester City in 2017.

The striker built a ‘great history’ with the club, and they’ve been trying since the beginning of this year to try and close a deal with Arsenal for him.

The belief is that the Gunners would be happy to let the Brazilian go as a series of injuries have limited him to just 74 appearances in two years following his €52.2m move from Manchester City.

He’s lost his place in Mikel Arteta’s first team and Arsenal would be willing to accept a deal worth around €40m.

That would be a huge amount of money for any Brazilian club, but Palmeiras are one that have the capacity to make ‘heavy payments’. They also want to sign a big-name centre-forward for the Club World Cup.

Their fans would 100% support the transfer and believe the signing would give them a chance of winning several titles next season.

It all depends on Arsenal but there is seemingly a belief, at least in Brazil, that there is a deal there to be done.
