Just over a week ago we brought you an update on the future of Watford defender Dimitri Foulquier and a potential exit from Vicarage Road this summer.
The full-back joined the Hornets from Granada back in 2017 but is yet to make an appearance for the club, instead spending time out on loan, first at Strasbourg and then Getafe.
He’s seemingly out of favour at the club and we covered reports that former club Getafe were keen to take him back.
However, Watford were making things difficult as they are ‘unwilling’ to terminate his contract so he can leave on a free. Thus, Getafe had to look for a loan or permanent transfer.
It now seems they’re not the only interested party, with Marca reporting Almería are also trying to secure his signature.
However, Watford are again being difficult, with the newspaper stating their demands are making a deal difficult to get done.
There’s no mention of what those demands or, or if the player would be interested the move, however, Marca do say Almería are ‘expecting’ his arrival, which suggests that negotiations are at least underway.
