In case Chelsea are really interested in signing Neymar from Paris Saint Germain this summer, it seems they may have a golden opportunity showing up.
The reason for that is a couple of reports from Brazil which now say both the player and the French club want him gone at the end of the season.
One of these reliable stories comes from Isabela Pagliari. She’s a correspondent in Paris and known for having a close relationship to Brazilian players there.
The journalist claims that despite many articles this year saying PSG would like to sell Neymar, he actually hadn’t been on board with that plan. However, he now changed his mind and will accept a transfer this summer.
The factors which led him to that decision are his bad relationship with local fans, the disorganisation at the French side, the departure of Lionel Messi and Marco Verratti’s wish to leave as well.
Pagliari didn’t mention a potential destination for Neymar, but later on, UOL columnist Bruno Andrade came up with a similar story about the situation. And that’s where Chelsea get a mention.
Also claiming that PSG and Neymar both want the transfer, he says the most likely destination for the attacker is the Premier League.
Andrade mentions that Neymar has been linked to Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United. But UOL recently learned that the 31-year-old shouldn’t be part of the Magpies’ recent plans, and the journalist says we should watch out for the Blues and the Red Devils.
