Chelsea can be relied upon in recent years to keep things going at the end of the transfer window, and they’re not letting anyone down in this winter market.

The Blues remain active on a number of fronts, with multiple incomings and outgoings possible before the end of play this evening.

One deal which looks like it’s just been agreed is the purchase of Dario Essugo from Sporting CP.

O Jogo report on Monday afternoon that Chelsea have agreed to buy the midfielder for €25m. The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Las Palmas and will remain there until the end of the season.

Even if Chelsea had wanted to take him immediately themselves or, as would be a likelier scenario, loan him out to a different club they wouldn’t have been able to. Dario Essugo has represented both Sporting and Las Palmas so far this season and therefore wouldn’t be able to play for another club.
