Brighton have been chasing PSV Eindhoven’s Olivier Boscagli for the last few weeks but their efforts haven’t brought about the desired results.
An offer from Brighton has already been rejected by PSV, who didn’t feel that the fee offered was even close to their asking price for the player.
A promising update from the Netherlands has emerged for Brighton, and De Telegraaf report about it today.
PSV, in the meantime, are hoping that he signs a new deal but that has been described as a ‘vain hope’, with the player having made it clear that he wants to join the Seagulls.
The Dutch side have gone as far as to offer him a part of his future transfer fee, if he signs a new deal.
The defender isn’t interested in that either, and wants his club to cooperate to enable an exit in the last few days of the transfer window.
Brighton’s current offer is at €10m and the next bid is expected to be a higher one and the outlet are confident that it will be on the table soon.
