Will Still has done an exceptional job at Stade de Reims since he was promoted to their first team manager in October 2022. This has seen him attract interest from several clubs and Sunderland have been the latest to be added to the list.
Earlier this week, the Black Cats relieved Tony Mowbray from his duties and identified the Belgian as one of the candidates to replace him. On Thursday, Walfoot stated Sunderland ‘will try’ to bring Still to the club but there’s ‘little chance’ of success.
Score.fr provide the French media’s stance on the possibility of the 31-year-old moving to the Stadium of Light.
Still’s work at Reims has seen the Championship side show interest in him, and the report states they want him to help them return to the Premier League.
His deal lasts until 2025 and he’s ‘not expected’ to leave his current employer despite interest from Sunderland. In fact, the website claims it’s ‘difficult to imagine’ the manager leaving, at a time when Reims are in contention to qualify for Europe next season.
The Ligue 1 side are currently fifth in the table, 10 points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
