Yesterday, it was reported that Blackburn Rovers needed to quickly increase their offer for Cesena’s Augustus Kargbo.

While AfricaFoot reported earlier today that the move is in the final stages, the Italian press has a completely different take.

Corriere Romagna have reported that the transfer is still very much uncertain.

Despite Blackburn Rovers making a new offer for the striker, the rise in the fee is deemed insufficient by Cesena.

The report believes that if the Lancashire club do not make another attempt between today and tomorrow, the 25-year-old will stay at the Italian outfit until the end of the season.

Cesena currently do not have a replacement in hand for the Sierre Leone international, who is said to be keen on a move to Blackburn Rovers.

It has been previously suggested that the Italian side want about €1.2m for the forward and it seems as if the price tag is still very much at that amount.

John Eustace’s side have to make a move quickly or risk losing out on the target.

Where AfricaFoot got the information the transfer is almost done is unclear, but it’s likely to be from the player’s side of the deal so perhaps reflects what his camp want to happen.
