A few months ago, following the loan of Nikola Vlasic from West Ham United to Torino, it only seemed like a matter of time until the Serie A side signed the midfielder on a permanent transfer.
The 25-year-old had been a regular starter in Turin since his arrival there, and it sounded likely that the club would make an effort to land him for €15m.
However, things have changed a lot in recent weeks, and as reported by Toro.it, the West Ham player doesn’t hold the same importance at Torino at this stage.
The outlet writes that Vlasic is no longer ‘irreplaceable’, as other players have been stealing his starting spot in the team lately.
The player also suffered an injury, and the few games he was sidelined showed that Torino have other good options for that position.
That certainly means the Italian club will think twice before buying him from West Ham for that set amount.
And in case the Hammers were already counting on that money, they better get prepared not to receive that, or at least to open negotiations for a discount.
