Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz has been told that West Ham may be the better option than Everton this summer.

TuttoJuve cover comments from journalist Leonardo Bertozzi on the matter today, in which he offers transfer advice to the Brazilian.

Luiz is expected to leave Juventus this summer after a miserable year at the Italian club following a big money move from Aston Villa last summer.

They’re keen to move him on and know there are Premier League suitors, with Everton and West Ham both currently leading the charge.

They are believed to be battling it out for Luiz’s signature at this moment in time, with reports this week insisting that both have submitted bids. It’s even been claimed Everton are ahead of the Hammers, although that is yet to be substantiated.

Either way, they seem to be the two offers on the table the Brazilian midfielder to consider at this moment in time and, if Bertozzi were to have the deciding vote, it appears he’d be giving it to West Ham.

“Given the coach’s latest decisions, it’s difficult to see him as a first-choice player today,” he is quoted as saying in an exclusive interview with TuttoJuve.

“If he’s still thinking about the World Cup, he’d do well to try to play more, and if that’s not possible at Juve, I think returning to England would be a good option for him.

“I think Douglas Luiz, given his playing style, is better suited to West Ham, more of a “playmaker” than Moyes’s Everton. To return to being Villa’s Douglas, he’ll have to regain his old self-confidence, and for that he’ll need a lot of consistency.”
