Brighton failed with a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Olivier Boscagli in the summer transfer window, after weeks of effort.

There was a real sense of drama in the situation, with the player left unhappy by how things ended up turning out. There was also an indication that the Frenchman had pretty much given up playing for the Dutch club after the move to Brighton failed.

The defender’s current contract at PSV Eindhoven runs out in the summer and there are developments surrounding him.

TuttoAtalanta state that Boscagli is ready to test himself at a new club in a new league and multiple European clubs are keeping an eye on his contract situation.

It isn’t known whether Brighton are still in for the player but an auction could soon be ‘unleashed’ for the centre-back, who hasn’t enjoyed a great season with PSV so far.

Atalanta are interested in him and manager Gian Piero Gasperini really rates Boscagli’s versatility across the backline.
