Some days ago, we covered a report from Corriere dello Sport which suggested Fiorentina want around €30m for Michael Kayode, amidst interest from Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle United.
Alfredo Pedulla has now reported about the situation of the defender, whose future in Florence is expected to be resolved in the next few days.
There’s some hesitation at Fiorentina about Kayode’s potential sale but the feeling is that he would be a back-up if he stayed because of Dodo’s regular presence at right-back.
That is where potential suitors come into the picture. Aston Villa made an offer for the player but it was ‘not appropriate’.
Monchi is the one pushing for the move, but there has been ‘expressions’ of interest from Tottenham, Bournemouth and Newcastle too, with parties having made initial contact.
Curiously, the price tag for a sale mentioned in Pedulla’s report is different from what Corriere dello Sport spoke about.
Pedulla says La Viola would be happy to sell the player for €20m plus bonuses. Otherwise, he’ll stay at Fiorentina.
