Earlier today, we covered a story about how Fiorentina could be the first to move for Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira.

They, alongside the likes of Torino and AS Roma, have been among the favourites to give the Uruguayan the exit route he is looking for from the Emirates, where he has been pushed to one side by Mikel Arteta.

A return to Italy, where he made a name for himself at Sampdoria, makes the most sense, which is why there are people working behind the scenes to get that done.

With the likes of Torino and Fiorentina likely to struggle, at least a little bit, with the wages and transfer fee, it’s only natural to see if other clubs would be interested, which is is what someone has done.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio were offered the chance to sign the Arsenal midfielder, but they politely turned it down.

Why? Because the club feel they are ‘complete’ with their midfield options, seemingly having managed to hold onto Sergej Milinković-Savić for another year as well as being close to tying down their assist king Luis Alberto for the foreseeable future.
