There is a claim in the Turkish media Southampton that want £20m from the sale of Aaron Ramsdale.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a transfer to Galatasaray in recent days as the Super Lig champions look to bring in an experienced goalkeeper. The player leaving Southampton has been at least half expected isnce relegation to the Championship was confirmed.

Galatasaray reporter Kağan Dursun claims the Turkish club have contacted Southampton and the player to get an idea about their demands.

He went on to say that despite Southampton wanting £20m for Ramsdale, Gala are looking to loan the goalkeeper, with an option to purchase.

“Galatasaray have asked both Aaron Ramsdale and his club Southampton about their terms. Ramsdale is not an agent suggestion; he is a goalkeeper that Galatasaray went to according to their own wishes. Ramsdale’s salary demand is €6m, while Southampton’s fee is £20m. Galatasaray’s intention is to rent + option,” said the Turkish journalist.

Veteran keeper Fernando Muslera recently said his goodbyes to Cimbom due to his contract expiring at the end of this month, and Ramsdale has emerged as an option for them.

Liverpool’s Alisson has also been linked in recent weeks, but the Brazilian’s demands have made it difficult for the Istanbul side.

Ramsdale made 30 Premier League appearances last season and is contracted to the Saints until June 2028.
