Jacobo Ramon has become one of the brightest young players in Serie A and has now attracted keen interest from Arsenal.
The centre-back was signed from Real Madrid in 2025 for around €3m. But he has grown significantly and has now become one of the leaders of a thriving football club.
He has started all six of Como’s games this season, starring alongside Trevoh Chalobah. In the 2025/26 campaign, he featured 32 times in Serie A, playing a key role in their march towards a historic Champions League qualification.
Aston Villa have previously been attentive to his growth but it is Arsenal who are well in the race.
Gunners making moves
Tuttomercatoweb explain there is no surprise that many clubs are monitoring the player’s situation. He is described as one of the best defenders in Serie A, with Real Madrid still having a 50% sell-on clause and a buyback in his contract.
Arsenal are now attentive to Ramon’s situation and have ‘made a move’ to potentially land him.
He is at the top of the Gunners’ shortlist and is increasingly viewed as a priority target. That is why attempts are already underway to secure a deal and hand Ramon to compatriot Mikel Arteta.
The report further clarifies that Arsenal aren’t the only suitor for Ramon. He is on the radar of several clubs, which is a clear sign of his rising stature.

Como are difficult sellers
So far, several teams have been interested in Como’s best players. Tottenham tried to sign Nico Paz and were faced with a huge asking price. Valuations of Martin Baturina and Assane Diao have also been sky-high. Besides, Como’s rise makes sure they are in no rush or pressure to sell their assets.
The same would also apply for Ramon, which will make things difficult for Arsenal.
The 21-year-old could find himself in a similar situation as Nico Paz soon. Real Madrid could bring him back and sell him on for a big fee. But Como will take advantage of their good relationship with Los Blancos and re-sign him.
So clearly, this is too early to call but the Gunners should continue to monitor his growth.
