In the past week Fenerbahce attacker Lincoln has been linked with a move to Hull City, with claims on Thursday that Acun Ilicali was working to convince to join the Championship club.
Hull City are looking to bring in players before the transfer deadline following their struggles in the league this season.
Fantatik have reported on developments over the future of the 26-year-old after the winger took to social media to say his goodbyes to Fenerbahce.
“It was great to be back in Istanbul and to feel the love of the fans all the time. I came back with the intention of experiencing this feeling on the pitch, but not everything in life is the way we want it to be. I feel at peace and with the feeling that better things will happen where I will be valued…. Thank you to all the fans, you will always be in my heart and in the heart of my family,” said the attacker.
Fanatik stated as part of that report that Lincoln had snubbed a move to Hull City and would instead be moving to Portugal or Brazil, at least until the end of the season.
Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who works for Sports Digitale in the country, has it very differently.
He reports on Friday morning that Lincoln is moving to Hull City on loan for the rest of the season. Sabuncuoğlu states it as fact, not just an advanced situation but something which is already done.
He’s probably got more reliability in the bank than Fanatik.
