We’ve become accustomed to Brighton and Hove Albion signing South American talent in recent years and one name to keep an eye on may be Inter Miami’s Diego Gómez.
That’s if the latest information from journalist Andrés Rolón is anything to go by anyway, with him suggesting the player could be set for a move to Europe in the near future.
The journalist covers information from Gómez’s agent, Renato Bittar, who has confirmed that his client is on ‘the Premier League radar’.
According to him his transfer could take place in the summer transfer market, although he failed to name any potential suitors.
Brighton, though, may be one of them. They were actually linked with the youngster last summer, with a report explaining that the Seagulls had taken notice of his great performances for Club Libertad.
Brighton never moved for him at that point, and he eventually ended up at Inter Miami in July, moving to MLS in a €2.7m deal. He’s managed two goals in 13 games since that point and according to his agent now has the Premier League looking at him.
Whether Brighton are one of the clubs remains to be seen but it certainly wouldn’t be surprising if they are in the mix given their previous interest.
