Brighton & Hove Albion are one of the four clubs in the mix to sign Club Libertad’s Diego Gómez in the summer.

This information was reported during Monumental’s program, Fútbol a lo Grande and relayed by D10.

It’s claimed the 20-year-old is ‘wanted’ by Brighton, Galatasaray, Palmeiras and Atlético Mineiro.

Operating in the middle of the pitch, he’s managed four goals and two assists from 20 games this season. He’s been ‘showing great performances’ in the domestic competitions and also in the Copa Libertadores.

The Seagulls and the other three teams are all ‘great clubs’ for the Paraguay international if one takes into account the competition, they will be playing later this year. Roberto De Zerbi’s side have qualified for the Europa League next season.

A move to The Amex will see Gómez become teammates with his compatriot, Julio Enciso.

Brighton are known to look at youngsters from South America. Apart from the interest, the report doesn’t mention any other details, including the conditions needed to carry out Gómez’s signing.
