There are reports coming out of the Netherlands that ADO Hen Haag are continuing to experience financial problems. The Eredivisie side are struggling to meet their day to day running costs, which could put a question mark over the future of the club’s key players, including Leeds United target Tom Beugelsdijk.
It’s expected the reduction in the club’s income the next 12 months will be more difficult than the previous year, and a meeting is expected to take place soon with regards to the budget for the 2017/18 season.
Due to these consequences the club will find it difficult keeping hold of their key players in the coming window, which would include Beugelsdijk. The central defender has been tracked by several sides in recent months, including Leeds United and clubs in Italy.
With just 14 months left on his current deal with the Dutchman’s contact will be one of those which needs to be dealt with come the summer, but there are no signs of this happening at the moment.
During the last window we covered reports from the Dutch media that Leeds United sent scouts to Holland to watch ADO Den Haag take on Excelsior. At the time it was reported Leeds United boss Garry Monk was impressed with Beugelsdijk, believing his physicality would make him suitable for English football.
The player also recently talked up a move to England, saying it’s an option he’d consider.
