If there was a player you could accuse of trying to force a transfer through at present time, it’s Sunderland’s Jeremain Lens.

The Dutch forward is currently on loan from the Stadium of Light at Fenerbahce, and rather enjoying his time away from the north of England.

The Sunderland loanee has often reiterated his desire to leave the club since arriving in Turkey, and even hinted the club getting relegated to the Championship would be useful in order to help make the transfer permanent.

There’s been a new development in this ongoing saga, however, with Fanatik claiming that Napoli have expressed an interest in the Sunderland forward, which the player has dismissed.

Well, they state someone in Italy said it, but after doing a bit of digging, the source of the ‘Italian reports’ remains a mystery.

Fanatik reiterate Jeremain Lens would like to stay at Fenerbahce for the foreseeable future, and him ‘dismissing’ interest from a team Napoli certainly makes him sound even more loyal to the fans, don’t you think?
