West Ham United are ‘pushing’ to sign Terem Moffi from Lorient this month after being turned down by Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

That’s according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi, who say an offer of €20m has already been rejected for the in-form striker.

Moffi is one of the rising stars of Europe at present after scoring 12 goals in 18 games in Ligue 1 this season.

West Ham are known to be among his admirers and reports have made it clear they are ready to bid, although there are conflicting claims about a potential bid.

Genuardi adds his own information to the mix, stating that West Ham are ‘pushing’ to sign the 23-year-old this month and have seen a €20m bid rejected for their new ‘priority’.

That bid is ‘far from the mark’ as far as Lorient are concerned and they are likely to use the competition for Moffi’s signature to ‘drive up the price’ if they can.

However, ‘a revival is expected’ from the Hammers, who are seemingly desperate to add to their forward line this month, perhaps in an effort to score themselves out of a relegation battle.
