Napoli star Hirving Lozano has insisted he is ‘calm’ regarding speculation about a potential move to Newcastle United.
The Mexican winger has been linked with a move to St James Park since their takeover by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund earlier this month.
He is one of an ever-growing list of names put forward as a potential option for the January transfer window when Newcastle are expected to spend big to improve a squad that is lacking quality in several areas.
So far, the rumours have only come from dubious and less than credible locations, but they are there nonetheless and have some basis, with Lozano having been linked with Newcastle on plenty of occasions in the past.
Indeed, just last year, it was claimed that talks had been held with Napoli about a move and that they were a ‘viable option’ for the Mexican.
“I’m focused on here (Napoli) first and foremost,” he told Fox Sports.
“The rumours will come, they always come, they are always seen and not heard.
“But the truth is that no, I am very calm. If the time comes, the time will come, but right now, I’m here with Napoli; I’m focused here, and I’m going to do my best, as always.”
"LOS RUMORES VENDRÁN; AHORITA ESTOY AQUÍ CON EL NAPOLI"😬😉
Newcastle, en el banco, es el más poderoso del mundo, y uno de los nombres que ya salió es 'Chucky'; sin embargo, el mexicano está tranquilo…
