Chelsea’s Charly Musonda has managed just 275 minutes of football this season and been troubled by persistent knee pain. The Belgian youngster has spent more time in London in recent weeks than at Real Betis.
The player recently returned from a knee injury, but was sent back to London last week for another assessment. AS say Musonda’s loan spell at Real Betis is set to come to an end, and now the player is expected to stay at Chelsea at least until January.
Antonio Conte could then keep the player in his senior squad if he chooses but, if Musonda is injury free, it’s likelier he goes out on loan to an English club.
Reports suggest there is also a clause in Musonda’s contract that forces Real Betis to pay more to Chelsea the lesser he plays, and that could also be a reason for his early return to the London club.
Musonda enjoyed a good second half of last season at Real Betis last time around, which led everyone to believe another loan to the Spanish club would go just as well.
