The delay in AC Milan’s takeover by Chinese consortium Sino Europe has changed the dynamics of the transfer market. The Serie A club were hoping to spend big in the transfer market, but now need to sell players to raise funds.

Reports suggest AC Milan are open to selling Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Honda. It’s like the Italian summer all over again, but with less gelato and more panettone.

According to a latest report on Calciomercato, Arsenal are keen on signing the Colombian international and are in the ‘front row’. Calciomercato say there is no shortage of interest in Bacca, with Paris-Saint Germain and Sevilla also interested.

Arsene Wenger has been doing very well indeed with Alexis Sanchez upfront, and with Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez as support acts, the need for a striker isn’t as desperate as it usually is.

It’s been reported Bacca is valued at €25m, after managing six goals in 13 appearances. That’s around €10m less the fee Milan agreed with West Ham a few weeks ago.

The 30-year-old wasn’t keen on the Hammers, and much preferred the idea of a move to a Champions League club, which of course Arsenal is. Bacca would jumpy at the chance, Milan would snap €25m+ out of Arsenal’s hand without thinking, but Arsenal themselves probably aren’t as bothered as is suggested.
