The agent of Lille midfielder Yusuf Yazici, Adem Cebeci, has admitted he and his client are honoured by the links to Arsenal.
The Gunners have been linked with the Turkish footballer, who has been labelled the next Mesut Ozil, in England over the last few weeks.
Several reports have indicated they are keen on the midfielder, who recently earned rave reviews after scoring two hattricks for Lille against Sparta Prague and AC Milan in the Europa League.
Should he leave the French side, they will likely demand a big fee, with them having become adept at selling players for a high price in recent years.
“In Lille, he works with the best. Yusuf feels right at home here to work on his weaknesses – speed and speed,” Hurriyet report him saying.
“They want to use his full potential and sell him to even bigger clubs for a lot of money. We are honoured that big clubs have had an eye on him.”
Whether Arsenal will make a move in the near future is debatable given they are well stocked for midfielders at this moment in time.
In fact, they have the actual Mesut Ozil already, and the fact that he can’t even get in their squads suggests getting the next one isn’t a top priority.
Indeed, it’s more likely that Yazici will only be arriving at the Emirates when there’s been several departures, starting with Ozil.
