Following talk that KRC Genk were interested in bringing back Southampton’s Paul Onuachu, the idea of a swap deal started to take place.
The man potentially involved has been said to be Joseph Paintsil, who currently plays for the Belgian side, but Sacha Tavolieri reveals a problem.
That’s the fact the Ghana international is ‘not keen’ on moving to Southampton at this moment in time.
As of now, the Championship side have not made a move for the 25-year-old winger, but that could always change down the line.
Southampton are currently in the process of finally selling Roméo Lavia to Chelsea, after they outbid Liverpool for him after doing the same for Moises Caicedo, and that should bring a nice new chunk of money at St Mary’s.
This comes after the club already sold James Ward-Prowse to West Ham and Tino Livramento to Newcastle, who were joined by Mohammed Salisu, who exited to go to Monaco in Ligue 1.
