Since Mathys Tel’s arrival at Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich, the Frenchman has scored three goals for the London giants.

He’s also shown glimpses of his ability in the final third and it seems as if the Lilywhites could have a chance of keeping him beyond this season.

Kicker have reported that Tel’s future no longer lies at Bayern Munich and it could indeed lie at Tottenham.

As of now, Ange Postecoglou’s side have an option to buy for €50m but the indication is that they will not pay that amount.

As a result, a discount can be made and Bayern Munich are currently hoping that they can find an agreement with Tottenham over a permanent sale. While no alternative amount has been mentioned, the report hints at some confidence that a deal can be done between the two clubs.

Spurs and Bayern Munich have had a pretty functional relationship in the past few seasons, considering how Harry Kane and Eric Dier joined the German giants. It remains to be seen if this comes in handy for Tottenham in the summer.
