On December 30th we covered a claim from La Nazione that Patrick Cutrone to Fiorentina was close to being a deal.
It was stated the Wolves player could even get the move done within 24 hours, which felt very unlikely given the time of year. Agreement with the player was presented as being almost there, whilst negotiations with Wolves were ongoing.
To think that could all be sorted out before the end of the year was a stretch, and here we are in the next decade and Cutrone is still at the Premier League club.
TMW say ‘some details’ still need to be sorted out on the move, and talks will resume on Tuesday. They don’t give any explanation for the delay, but it’s possible Wolves are holding off as long as possible, in case they get an injury to someone else.
Meanwhile, La Nazione, they of the 24 hour claim, report Fiorentina ‘tighten for Cutrone’, and say that with every day which passes ‘the risk margins’ (potential of the move failing) are reduced.
There’s no explanation on finances or the structure of a deal.
