Raul Jimenez to Wolves rumbles on in the Portuguese media.
Friday and Saturday saw reports the Benfica player would be moving to the Premier League club initially on loan with an option to make the move permanent next summer.
Whilst the figures vary around Portuguese newspapers, A Bola go with a €3m loan fee and a €38m clause to make the transfer a full one next summer. That clause is entirely on Wolves’ side, they won’t be forced to sign the Mexican.
The other disagreement on the deal has been when it will be announced. Initial Portuguese claims had it as the beginning of next week and then it was claimed there’ll be nothing official before Mexico’s elimination from the World Cup.
Now A Bola report Wolves have ‘accelerated’ on the move and want things done before the tournament in Russia starts.
The club hope to be able to present the signing, and announce everything, on Tuesday.
