Mario Lemina’s move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Al Shabab is ‘almost complete’, with the player close to an agreement with the Saudi Arabian club.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the midfielder ‘aspires to other things’ and is now heading to Saudi Arabia to achieve them.

A report earlier today indicated that Wolves would be open to letting Lemina move this month as Vitor Pereira reshapes his squad in the January transfer window.

That report also made it clear that Al Shabab were looking at him as they’re targeting a midfielder as part of their plans this month.

FM now report that after being contacted by the Saudi club in recent days, the 31-year-old is ‘about to agree’ to join them.

He’s happy to make the move and reunite with manager Fatih Terim, who he worked alongside at Galatasaray a few seasons ago.

The operation will be valued at €4m and the transfer could be finalised quickly according to Turkish sources contacted by FM and their journalist Santi Aouna.

The move is perhaps the best solution for all parties, with Lemina stripped of the captaincy at Molineux last month following an incident on the pitch following the loss to West Ham. That was very much seen as the start of the end to his time at the club and it seems that end is now rapidly approaching.
