Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ki-Jana Hoever could be allowed to ‘continue training’ at PSV Eindhoven despite his loan deal being cancelled.

That’s according to journalist Rik Elfrink, who says there is no ill feeling between the player and the Dutch club.

Hoever joined PSV on loan in the summer in search of regular playing time that wasn’t on offer at Wolves, where he had struggled to establish himself after moving from Liverpool.

His time in the Netherlands has been something of a disaster, though, with the defender struggling for gametime under Ruud van Nistelrooy this season and failing to impress when given it.

Reports yesterday made it clear that his loan at PSV would be brought to and end and he’d be sent back to Wolves, where he was likely to be sent out on loan again.

Elfrink confirms as much, stating that Hoever ‘is leaving’ as has been reported and he will be ‘loaned out again’ by Wolves before the end of the transfer window.

However, ‘he may continue training’ at PSV for the time being as he is ‘much loved’ at the club and there is no ‘upset relationship’ despite his struggles this season.

The end of his loan is simply because he has not played enough minutes, thus he will be loaned out to another club in the next week.
