Earlier this week we covered reports from the Turkish press that Wolverhampton Wanderers are back in for Anderson Talisca, after securing promotion to the Premier League.

It was an inevitable rumour to rise, whether there’s any truth in it or not, and things are continuing to be hyped.

Besiktas have a €21m redemption clause for the Brazilian, and this is valid until the end of May.

Turkish TV Channel A Spor say Wolves have made an interesting offer to Besiktas due to Benfica’s demands for the player. Benfica are reportedly asking €40m for Talisca, and subsequently Wolves have contacted Besiktas over a possible deal between themselves.

According to A Spor, Wolves have offered €29m to Besiktas for the player if the Turkish club activate the redemption clause.

This would mean Besiktas would purchase Talisca for €21m from Benfica, and then sell him to Wolves for €29m, making €8m profit in the process.

It sounds like a good deal for Besiktas, but if the Turkish club don’t use their option, then it’s very unlikely Benfica would get the full €40m asking price anyway.

The Brazilian has been playing for Besiktas on loan since the 2016/17 season, scoring 35 goals.
