Promoted to the Premier League at the weekend it seems Wolverhampton Wanderers are already looking to next season and this summer’s transfer window.
According to Turkish newspaper Fotomac, the English side will target Benfica’s Anderson Talisca when the window opens.
The Brazilian attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with Wolves repeatedly, and continues to impress at Besiktas.
Fotomac say Wolves officials have made their first move by contacting Talisca’s agent Carlos Leite over a potential transfer.
Leite has reportedly told Wolves officials they can’t do anything because the Turkish club’s right of redemption is €21m, and only expires at the end of the season, so the English side will have to wait.
Besiktas therefore get the first go at signing Talisca from Benfica, and they can either take that and keep the player, sell him on for a profit, or pass up their chance to use the clause.
Two things were sure once Wolves secured promotion. One, the Portuguese press would go crazy (we’ll have more on that later), and two, the Talisca rumours would return.
