According to Turkish newspaper Aksam, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on Trabzonspor starlet Abdulkadir Omur.
The 18 year old has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks after claims in the Turkish press they’ve tabled a bid for the player.
Aksam say Liverpool are ready to make an offer for the highly rated winger, who has already been labelled the “Turkish Messi”.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Trabzonspor aren’t prepared to let Omur leave on the cheap, and Liverpool would have to offer in the region of €18m.
Tottenham have again been linked with Omur by Aksam, following claims earlier this week the London club have put in a bid for the youngster.
Turkish journalist Erdal Hos said Tottenham are interested in Omur and have approached Trabzonspor with a ‘concrete offer’.
It now seems Tottenham and Liverpool may go up against each other to sign the attacker, at least according to the Turkish claims. But it must be said there seems to be an excitement about pushing the rumours and perhaps talking up interest to more than it actually is.
Omur has scored 3 goals in the Turkish Super Lig this season, making 5 assists.
