Everton failed to sign Udinese’s Beto towards the end of the winter market.

The Merseyside club saw their bid for the striker turned down by the Serie A side and that was confirmed by their coach, Andrea Sottil, earlier this month.

On Wednesday, Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino admitted his side rejected a “huge” offer from Everton for the 25-year-old in January. He also stated Beto and his teammate, Rodrigo Becão, could leave the club after this season.

There has been a suggestion in the UK that the Toffees could consider making an approach for the duo in the summer. This is relayed by UdineseBlog, who then give their own take on this case.

They say the hypothesis of Everton making an approach for Beto and the defender in the next window cannot be discarded. The report further focuses on the Portuguese frontman.

According to UdineseBlog, ‘what is certain’ is that Sean Dyche has suggested Beto’s name to Everton after the Serie A side blocked his sale in January.

Having seen their €25m bid rejected by Udinese, Everton are ‘preparing to return to the office’ for the striker in the summer. The English club could perhaps reach €30m to sign Beto.
