At the end of last month, Mundo Deportivo reported West Ham United are interested in Barcelona’s Andre Gomes, and the Hammers starlet Domingos Quina, who is a target for the La Liga winners, can help the London club in signing the Portuguese international.
On August 3rd, we covered a report from TV3, who claimed the midfielder is ‘very well regarded’ by Manuel Pellegrini and the Premier League outfit have submitted a ‘firm offer’ for the player.
Mundo Deportivo now talks about the Catalan club’s interest in Quina, who was part of Portugal’s squad that won the European U19 championship.
The Spanish champions extensively monitored the former Benfica and Chelsea academy player and are looking to incorporate him into their academy.
The report claims the interest of Barcelona in the 18-year-old matches West Ham’s interest in Gomes, so that one operation could ‘facilitate’ the other.
Mundo also mentions only Valencia and Arsenal are the two clubs who have taken steps to sign the Barcelona midfielder. Despite interest from several clubs, Gomes has not managed to find a new homes and his latest injury blow will only come as a setback in his transfer pursuit.
