The Gianluca Scamacca saga seems to have come to an end, with many Italian outlets reporting it.

As written by Tutto Mercato Web, the striker ‘will be a West Ham player’, as the negotiation is ‘one step away from the definition’.

Sassuolo and the Hammers are said to be agreeing the transfer for an initial amount of €35m, plus €6m in bonuses, with the Serie A side getting a percentage of a future sale.

Tutto Mercato Web adds that Scamacca is ‘ready’ to sign a five-year deal with the Premier League side.

Another source covering the deal is Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Even though he’s still to write more on his website, the reporter already tweeted that there’s a ‘verbal agreement’ between the Serie A club and West Ham for the transfer.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta Dello Sport also backs up the deal, this time saying the transfer is being done for €36m plus €6m, with the Italian side getting 10% of a future transfer.

Sassuolo, who had signed him from PSV’s youth ranks for only €500k, had him at the club for five years. He’d been loaned out a few times, and finally managed to impress for the green and black side last season, when he scored 16 goals in Serie A. Now it seems he’s on his way to prove himself in the Premier League.
