Gazzetta Dello Sport this evening features a piece with frustrating news for AC Milan fans, as the Rossoneri have had another setback in their chase for Club Brugge midfielder Charles De Ketelaere.

Despite the Serie A giants trying to find an agreement for his signing, they’re now said to be ‘trembling’, as the talks are currently stalled.

Gazzetta recalls that Club Brugge have an ‘important offer’ from Leeds United, worth ‘at least’ €37m. That’s more than what they’re asking for the move, as the demand is said to be €35m.

That’s where the problem for Milan lies, as they don’t want to go beyond €30m plus €2m in bonuses. So their chances for the Italian side are said to be ‘decreasing’.

The next few days will ‘obviously be decisive’, as it’s ‘impossible for this story to last more than 3-4 days’. The transfer game is said to be open for Leeds or Milan, with both clubs still alive.

Something funny about this story is that, on Friday morning, Gazzetta repeatedly claimed that the player doesn’t want a move to the Whites, as his choice was ‘only’ for the Rossoneri.

Now that Milan had a setback and are finding it difficult to win the race, the outlet doesn’t mention anything about De Ketelaere possibly rejecting Leeds United.
