Earlier today we covered a report from Portugal which rubbished claims Jota Silva was in London on Tuesday hoping to advance a move to West Ham.

There’s further claims on it now from A Bola, who explain more about where he actually was, and then cover interest from the Hammers and others.

The Vitória de Guimarães player attended an event with Liga Portugal Against Cancer, to help raise awareness about cancer prevention and screening.

Jota Silva auctioned off a hairband, which fetched €41, and a signed shirt, which made €505. He also met fans and later talked about how important it is to use his platform for such causes.

A Bola went over the interest the player has been receiving, and they say it’s West Ham who are most closely following him, and that the Hammers could present a proposal ‘in the coming days’.

The attacker has a €20m release clause but it’s likely West Ham would want to pay less given his contract expires in a year.
