Club Brugge star Hans Vanaken is back on West Ham United’s transfer agenda.
The Belgium international was wanted by the Hammers in the summer of 2020 and they even made a €15m bid, which was rejected by the Jupiler Pro League side. This was revealed by the player later that year and his father in January 2021.
West Ham thought of the 29-year-old in the winter market and are thinking about him again this summer.
Het Belang van Limburg on Tuesday state the fact the attacking midfielder is a target for the Premier League side again has a lot to do with David Moyes, who is a ‘long-time fan’ of the player.
It’s claimed West Ham have made an offer of €10m, but it has been deemed ‘completely inadequate’ by Club Brugge.
They are not willing to part ways with the Belgian and a transfer in this window is ‘out of the question’ for them.
Vanaken, for his part, has indicated he’s still open to leaving before the end of the month.
It remains to be seen whether Moyes’ side will return with an improved bid. If they do, then Club Brugge may have a decision to make.
