Torino are continuing their negotiations with West Ham United to sign Nikola Vlasic on a permanent basis this summer.

That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, say an initial offer of €8m has been rejected by West Ham.

Vlasic has spent this season on loan at Torino after falling out of favour under David Moyes and being shipped out in the summer transfer window.

He’s established himself as a key player for the Italian side this year, with a series of impressive performances before and after the World Cup making him a priority signing for this summer.

Torino have an option to make his loan deal a permanent one but would prefer to negotiate a new price with West Ham, something they’ve been working on for several months.

Tuttosport now report that they’ve submitted an initial €8m bid to West Ham for Vlasic but this is likely to be rejected by those in charge at the London Stadium.

According to the newspaper’s information, the ‘proposal has been listened to’ but West Ham want €5m more for the Croatian, so €13m in total, before they’ll sign off on his permanent departure.

Negotiations to make that happen ‘have only just begun’ and more will be needed if Vlasic is to end up at Torino permanently as expected.
