Two months ago, David Moyes guided West Ham United to European Conference League glory by beating Fiorentina 2-1 in the final. Despite achieving the club’s first silverware since 1980, the manager’s future at the club is ‘at risk’.

That’s at least what TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting and they add that West Ham are evaluating the possibility of sacking Moyes after their recent friendly defeats against Rennes and Bayer Leverkusen.

West Ham will face AFC Bournemouth on August 12th and it’s stated they could part ways with the manager before the first fixture of the new season.

Moyes has a year left on his contract and the website says splitting with him ‘could be painless’.

TMW further state Graham Potter and Igor Tudor are ‘in contention’ to replace Moyes at the London club.

Potter has been without a job since Chelsea sacked him in April while Tudor is also without a club since he left Marseille after helping them finish third last season.

Tudor had spells in Italy with Udinese, Juventus and Hellas Verona. TMW may have received this information from his camp or through an Italian intermediary, as West Ham have been negotiating with a few Serie A clubs this summer.

It needs to be seen whether this will be backed up by others, or if securing a deal for Edson Alvarez can bring a sense of calm to the club.
