West Brom’s transfer spending this summer will be very much impacted by their relegation to the Championship.
Targets will certainly have to change and given several players will surely push to leave the club, that has a further impact upon the situation.
Finances are lower than would have otherwise been the case, and bargains will need to be found, and players targeted would will accept a move to the Championship.
One of those picked out, according to L’Equipe, is Charles Traore, a 26 year old left back who plays for Troyes, who were relegated to Ligue 2. Premier League club Huddersfield Town are also credited with interest and that would make things problematic for the Baggies.
Not only that, Huddersfield and West Brom are joined by several Italian clubs, with the French newspaper only naming Chievo Verona among them.
Traore has been with Troyes since 2015 when he moved from Nantes on a free transfer, and he has a contract with the Ligue 1 club until June 2020.
