Back at the weekend, Watford winger Ignacio Pussetto made the fans of his former club Hurracan pretty happy due to a comment on social media.

He first made a post on Twitter celebrating the day of Hurracan supporters. And once his former teammate Kaku Romero, who now plays in MLS, asked him to go back, he replied saying ‘we’ll go back together’.

That was enough to make some noise in the Argentine media, and today, website TyC Sports managed to interview Pussetto to talk a little about it.

“I’m very happy for my present and I think that Hurracan fans are for me also, I notice it in every publication in social media. I’m thankful,” Ignacio Pussetto told TyC Sports.

“With Kaku Romero Gamarra we were marked, let’s say, with what we said about going back together, ha. But I always said it, I don’t promise when, but I do say that I would love to play at Hurracan again, it was very important for me… I can’t wait to go back to the club to say hello and go see a game at Ducó. From here I follow them whenever I can.”

Pussetto has also been asked if former Boca Juniors manager Gustavo Alfaro has ever tried to sign him for the Buenos Aires side.

“He never told me that he wanted me at Boca… Yes, he would love to count on me, although he saw my future in Europe and that I had to break it here. I made a very good relationship with Alfaro and he knew that this was a dream for me.”

The winger played for Hurracan between 2016 and 2018, before being sold to Udinese for €8m. Signed by Watford from the Serie A side also on a €8m deal in January 2020, Pussetto has made six appearances for the Premier League so far. His contract with the Hornets runs until 2024.
