As things stand, we have records of articles claiming that Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla.
What we haven’t got is Watford, but that has kindly been rectified by Corriere di Verona on Friday, who explain that Nigel Pearson’s side, well known for their Italian links (Pozzos), are now part of the race for the 24 year old.
For them, there’s only three clubs in the mix from England, and those are the Hornets, Everton and Manchester United, who are joined by Germans (RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfort) as well as a few big Italians side like Napoli and Inter.
Unfortunately, amid the Covid-19 crisis, things have slowed down a bit, but they haven’t stopped altogether.
It doesn’t say how much Everton, who reportedly informed themselves about the young centre-back a while back, and Watford would have to pay, but previous reports would suggest a fee of around €30m would be needed to convince the Serie A side to part ways with their starlet.
For the Hornets, who are the newcomers in this situation, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem, and we all know the Toffees love to spend a bit of cash here and there when they like a young player, like Moise Kean, or Richarlison.
