According to a claim in the Turkish media, Watford are expected to accept Trabzonspor’s offer for Wesley Hoedt.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Super Lig club in the past week following reports of transfer talks between the two clubs.

Takvim have today reported on the latest developments regarding Trabzonspor’s pursuit for the Watford man and they say it’s likely the Championship side will accept their latest offer of €1.5m. It’s reported the Turkish side had initially tabled a bid of €1.25m.

There have been reports Hoedt is said to be keen to leave Vicarage Road this summer which puts the Hornets in a difficult situation. With just 12 months left on his contract they will be under pressure to sell him in this window.

The Trabzon club have already brought in former Manchester City defender Stefan Savić this week and are looking to bring in Hoedt as his central defence partner.

Hoedt made 48 appearances for the Hornets last season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to the Championship club until June 2025.
