Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk are ‘closing in on a full deal’ for the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk in the winter market.

That’s according to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, who explains the winger has already agreed a deal in principle with the Gunners.

Aouna’s claim is backed up by Sport Arena, and they provide more updates on the deal to take the 22-year-old to Arsenal.

It’s said Mikel Arteta’s side and Shakhtar Donetsk are ‘close to agreeing the full amount’ for the Ukraine international’s transfer and this also includes bonuses.

Having already seen an initial offer rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk, the north London club have made an improved bid to sign Mudryk in January. The player, for his part, has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal.

The details of Arsenal’s latest bid or Shakhtar’s request are not specified in the report.

However, Sport Arena state the two clubs continue to negotiate the figures related to bonuses. Arsenal want at least 30% of the overall fee to be in bonuses, while Shakhtar don’t want it to be more than 20%.

With two sources insisting Arsenal and Shakhtar are close to agreeing a deal for Mudryk, it is likely the negotiations related to bonuses can be sorted out soon.
